Adventure starts at Port Allen Airport, the gateway to the Olokele and Waimea Canyons, where pilots immediately begins narrating a detailed tour of Kauai's history and legends with unobstructed viewing from all seats. All three major ventricles of the Waimea Canyon will be explored and their formation explained. With the two-way intercom your knowledgeable pilot will answer any questions you may have during your flight.
After the Waimea Canyon, it's over to the Kokee State Park area and then onto the awesome Na Pali Coast. You will go deep into the valleys of the Na Pali, detailing each one of them. See the Queen's bath, humpback whales and sea caves from above (seasonal.) From the Na Pali coast we continue on around Bali Hai peaks and Ke'e Beach, past Haena, up into Lumaha'i Valley. Passing Hanalei Bay, the little town of Hanalei, Princeville community and on down the Hanalei Valley, a long tropical rain forest. Then fly inside the Wai'ale'ale crater, one of the wettest spots in the world and finally, venturing into Hanapepe Valley, home of the Jurassic Park Falls (Manawai'opuna Falls) and Hawaii's largest coffee plantation before landing back at Port Allen Airport.
Most of our pilots are military trained and experienced in air rescues in addition to their experience in aerial photography, Kauai history and air tours. All this helps us to provide the highest quality helicopter tours of Kauai. Our aircraft feature a two-way communication system that allows passengers to interact with the pilot. We fly from Burns Field in Hanapepe (west side of the island). By flying out of Burns Field instead of Lihue, we eliminate 22 minutes of flight time over highways and residential areas, providing a more scenic flight tour.
