Kaua'i Museum is the cultural sanctuary for the art and artifacts of Native Hawaiians and it nurtures the creative spirit of today’s artists. This year, curators have embarked on a journey to revitalize the historic buildings that have been home to our collections.
Museum galleries house a permanent collection of ancient Hawaiian artifacts such as poi pounders, pohaku, calabashes and tapa. Annual community-wide celebrations include our signature event, May Day Lei Day, and the Christmas Craft Fair, which features the talent of our local artisans.
The Kaua'i Museum gift shop offers an extensive book collection, unique Hawaiian crafts, Ni'ihau shell lei, and vintage collectibles. As a privately owned, non-profit institution, all sales go directly to support our educational programs and exhibitions.
